INTO A COLOR OF CHOICE.
THE BOLD STROKES,
I PAINT ON THIS CANVAS
THAT IS MY LIFE.
WHERE OVER DARK REGRETS,
PAINT BRIGHT BEGINNINGS.
ON FLOURISHED STROKES,
LAY HAPPY ENDINGS.
ON SPLATTERED CORNERS,
DRY FORGOTTEN TEARS.
AND AT THE VERY CENTER,
OF THIS MASTERPIECE,
A SINGLE HEART BEATS SILENTLY,
WAITING, WISHING, HOPING.
FOR THAT DAY,
WHEN ANOTHER STROKE OF A BRUSH,
PAINTS A SECOND LOVING HEART.
BY ITS SIDE.
IN WHICH THEY SHALL LAY,
BEAT FOR BEAT WITH EACH OTHER.
FOR ALL ETERNITY.
